What you "need" is up to you.

Do you ever find that 6GB is not enough (or barely enough)?

Water cooling is only "needed" if you want to attempt over 5GHz with the 2500K. Otherwise, air cooling is fine. Your friend probably didn't know what he was doing. I have a GTX 580 and my system doesn't overheat (thanks to OCN).

By the way, what is "All Venom OC Certified"?

No you don't need water cooling. And 6gigs of ram is enough for gaming. But I'd go with 8 gigs! Just get proper case like Haf 932 Advanced/Haf X

I think he's buying a pre-built from cyberpowerpc or ibuypower. OP, you're wasting your money using one these companies. Buy the components and build it yourself. You will enjoy doing so, trust me!

You're wasting alot of money by not buying the components from a place like Newegg and building it yourself.

I was making that same assumption, but I decided to ask just to be absolutely 100.00% sure.

It's not like I haven't been around the block.

If you build the entire system yourself, then you be much happier with it.

Anyway, watercooling will not be needed for that at all.

You alt+tab much easier when running more programs with 8GB ram.
I noticed much improvement running arround with 20+tab Firefox and 3-4 sound and video editing programs.

Oh and WC is a pain in the ass when you do it yourself without anyone around who has at leas some experience in WC. I had my system 4 days on WC testing as I noticed leaks on CPU block.
And I am glad that MB was just wet when unpowered, if it was powered I could`t even RMA it.
