there is a fix for this that has been released. If you dont feel like messing with voltages yourself there is a bios you can download that will downclock your card.

Its easier just to crank up the voltage a notch or two. Try this and let us know how it works. I think 2 notches should help.

Doesn't matter what rig you put the card in: if the power supply is enough and the pci-e slot is the correct one it should work. You add a video card to a rig...you don't build an entire rig around a video card each time you upgrade.

Well can't run any futuremark test without the display drivers stop working, usually the comp doesn't freeze. Its always under heavy load. If i'm gaming and are lucky i can game for about 30min before either freezing for 10-15s and the it keeps going, if im unlucky it freezes and i need to reboot. Currentyl using the 275.33 but have tried all of them on nvidias homepage, from current to beta to archived drivers, all of them have a similar result. When i tried the drivers i went into safemode and did drivesweeper before a fresh install

Try this. AliceInChains seems to have hit it right on the head. With your card, upping the voltages a notch or two should be a snap.

Try it and let us know how it went.

Good luck.

Id go to MSI's website and look at the BIOS list for that card and see what the bug fixes were.

Aint been with msi since.
However, sounds like you have just had a bit of bad luck. It happens.

Sad to hear that. I think you should have posted here before the RMA. It may have been unnecessary.

If you could return it and pick up a more reputable brand i would, if not i would go ahead and adjust the voltages. But even still the stigma involved when i have just put a spanking new card into my system, and it begins crashing the driver...UNACCEPTABLE.
