ScanFx is likely to be a generic card, all depends what their generic card is though

The adaptor is cheap though at £1.78

Varies by company.HIS is very good about inc. adaptors,MSI hardly ever does.Don't have any experience with Scanfx here in the states.
You should consider the H.I.S. card,very nice cooler,quiet,great clocks and it comes with adaptors all for a lower price than the other brands.http://www.hisdigital.com/un/product2-611.shtml

I don't know what the "scanfx" version is, but the 2GB ASUS DirectCU II 6950 does not come with a DVI to VGA adapter. The only adapter that it comes with is DVI to HDMI.
