Regardless, bad games on an Engine means NOTHING. The Unreal Engine is wayyyy ahead of ****ty engines like Source.

I'd say the "best" engine out there is either CryEngine or Frostbite indefinitely, however the latter will never be licensed. CryEngine is really great though, people diss it now because of how bad Crysis 2 was, but it's still an amazing engine.
Cryengine is great, but it is also a waste of resources, since it is 100% real time dynamic and we do not need that now...

What I like about unreal Engine is that it isn't wasteful whatsoever, which is why anyone can max a UE3 game out. You see, why do you need 100% dynamic lighting? Think about it the only lights in a game that need to be dynamic are lights that alter or interpolate in someway in-game, such as flickering lights, moving lights, lights that get brighter or darker during time, lights that change color over time, and so on. Lights that stay put can be built into the map, and that is fine!

And this is how UE3 works with everything! lights, props, everything! It is very non wasteful and due to this, it is very easy to run, yet looks amazing. It looks just as good (if not better) as CE3, and it looks just as good (if not better) as FB2.

Batman is nothing other than an over-glorified donkey kong. It's the same stuff.. over & over, just with better graphics.

Single players games = best option is not to play Prof Falcon. Why not just play solitare..? (Same challange)

Do you game at all (serious question)?
Every game is the same thing over and over when you break it down like that... Especially FPS games

dihwdyqwuir87y23fuifweuj... i hate competitions that involve hardware... its always US only ¬_¬

On topic: I Loooove! the Unreal Engine.. Im an avid Unreal Tournament fan. and still play the oldie goldies all the way to UT3.. UT3 was shot down to early! no one gave it a chance ¬_¬

personally i love the Unreal Engine, it is a easy to run, beautiful engine, and form people i've talked to that use the UDK it is very easy to develop for, unlike some engines. Plus there are a good many games that run it and look great with it.

Off Topic: Did i spot MechWarrior on the list of Unreal 3 engine games, does that mean it is still in production? I heard it was cancelled. Well THis is good news then.

UE is a great engine, definitely not the bleeding edge of technology, but still a very enjoyable engine to play on.

I'm probably going to get some hate for saying this (I know how some of you around here feel about this game) but Borderlands would definitely have to be my favourite UE3 game.

BL2 is going to be THE *****.

This is why I love the Unreal Engine.

I know it is a tech demo, but still.

bioshock 1 and 2 were unreal engine 3

so was brother in arms 3

and rainbow six vegas and gears of war 1 were both pretty good games in my opinion.

and bulletstorm looked and ran quite well

oh and borderlands thats unreal engine 3 as well

and who could forget about the last remnant, which looked pretty good at times

unreal engine 3 is clearly the most well rounded engine out there. that is why so many use it
