Thread Starter
say if in the future i wanted to sli and go with 2 gtx 580 will that hold up with your build not saying i would might just buy a new graphic card but just wondering

(it would be wayyyy down the line)

and also what about that build with a gtx 570? i know you dont have it but wondeirng if that would hold up to games like battlefield and skyrim as well because the extra 150 is a lot if its just a couple frames etc

If it is wayyyy down the line, perhaps you should swap it for a 600/700 series nVidia GPU when they come out?

Well, I can't predict the future like that, but I will say that even the best 550W power supply doesn't have enough power for a system that has two GTX 580s in it (or even two GTX 570s for that matter).

However, to justify the cost of a higher-priced PSU, we'd have to be absolutely 100% sure you'll go with something that draws that much power.

I think that either the 570 or 580 would be awesome with this because the i5-2500K and the i7-2600K are so fast and powerful that it's scary.
