As long as that does not get changed, this will continue by every company that owns vague patents.
So if somebody kill someone with a gum, should we blame the gunmakers and not the killer?
The fact that the system is broken doesn't mean any company should be able to abuse it.
Apple deserve all the bad rep they are getting as any other corporation that do the same.

That doesn't make it fair or unfair, it's simply the way it goes. Other companies are capitalizing off of Apple's marketing by producing similar products, while it may seem vague to you, Apple basically created the tablet market we have today and cause a whole new sector for other companies to profit from. Now we do have an economy where supposedly you can compete equally no matter how large, but in this case one could easily say that all of the tablet profits other companies are getting are indirectly caused by Apple's handiwork.
It sounds very restrictive, but had Apple not made the iPad, I'm guessing we would have virtually no tablet market.
Yes apple make the tablet popular, but that doesn't mean they invented it
Make something popular doesn't mean they should get and abuse the patent for it. Even more if it is as vague as a rectangular shape thing with a touchscreen.
