I could be completely blind, but after flipping through here a few times I guess I've failed to see a LOTRO thread!

Has anyone around here seen one?

(Ugh, that Carmen San Diego song is suddenly stuck in my head...)

I have not seen a lotro thread here. If you are thinking of playing it i wouldnt suggest a f2p game ends up costing in the long run.

Oh, no, I currently play it with a subscription. I just thought there might be some kind of discussion thread on it! Hard to believe there isn't.

I played for a long time have a maxed out RK. In the end not enough subscribers to put together decent raiding groups for end game content. I should correct myself not enough skilled subscribers. And the PVP is terribad. The tolkenites dont want hobbits killing hobbits lol.

I just tried LOTRO for the first time a few weeks ago. I've been playing it occasionally since then. I like the graphics and art style, and the variety of classes and specializations. It has a very polished feel, which is understandable since the game has been out for years. I would recommend it to anyone!

I completely second this! There's just SO much to do in that game.

The best I've heard it described would be like "WoW for granddads". It's great for solo play, with the housing, crafting and deed system paired with the solo instances capability. My girlfriend and I play a Guardian and Champion...and we thoroughly enjoy duoing instances and the game together!
