running mine on 750w corsair
That's 450w PER gfx card. I would recommend at least a 900w unit, at the bare minimum

650-750w is good

dude go with nothing less than a good 850, now you can run it off a 650 even but as you get into oc'ing them the power draw goes way up and same with the boards cpu, I use with my sig set up about 710watt during a game
post #6 of 24
650 will be fine if its a good quality psu. Make sure the 12v rail/rails have enough amps.

Incorrect.

A quality 650W will do the job. Your 710W number is from the wall. Your PSU is about 81% efficient at that load, so that's 575W from the PSU. Which is the perfect range you want to be in on a 650W.

it says the minimum system requirement is 450w then it says maximum graphics card power 160w

just a slight not quite related comment if i may. Hardocp were doing some tests with 990fxa chip and its gigabyte and asus implementations, and it happens that asus boards got their base clk up to 300Mhz, while Gigabyte boards only to 260ish ...

here are the links
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/07/12/gigabyte_990fxaud7_motherboard_review/7
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2011/06/07/asus_sabertooth_990fx_motherboard_review/6

so as you are planning to OC you might wanna think it over (also these are the highend boards but i dont see a reason why lower end boards should perform all that different with the same specs)

p.s. sorry about the offtopic
