Help On New Router/Ideas?

Thread Starter
So i currently have a d-link wireless N router that i have had for about 4-5 years. Its been working great up until recently the wireless started shutting off. I reset it back to factory settings and set it up fresh and it still has the same issue. The wireless signal isnt as strong as it use to be and its running a lot hotter.

I figured its about time to get a new router so i need some ideas. Im looking for something that can support 4 wired PCs/PS3 Wireless N which my laptop has, is good for streaming media as well as for gaming (i know some routers send gaming data differently) and gigabit is a need.

Im not sure which routers to look at anymore, the latest d-links look great but there are some new Linksys ones as well that are catching my eye. What about the gaming routers? are those any better then a decent wireless N router? Any suggestions would be great and if you can provide links that would be awesome

I dont want to spend anymore then 100 unless i have to, so try and keep it around that price. Thanks for the help guys and girls

What model router is it? Have you tried maybe updating the latest firmware? Or even seeing if there is a better aftermarket firmware like DD-WRT or Tomato for it? I wouldn't count it down and out just yet, routers usually don't get up and die. I've had my Linksys for .... I'd say almost 5-6 years and it works like a champ still.
