Backplate touching case....problems?

Thread Starter
Hi guys, i just installed the RASA 1366 backplate in the HAF932 and it touches the case when the mobo is in. The mobo is installed onto the stand offs but the backplate is touching the back of the case:

Could this cause a short or anthing? If so, how can i solve it? I have taken that protective stuff off since taking this pic. Thanks

No shorting.

If it bothers you, you can bend the part of the case that touches the backplate out a bit.

But it's fine.

Won't cause a short, neither the backplate nor the case should be charged in any way.

Thanks guys! How would i go about bending the part of the case? Just by hand and pull? It does put a tiny bit of pressure on the backplate but no big deal really.

I would cut it but have no tools to do so nor the moeny to get any lol.

You could bend it by hand if you can manage to get it to bend, or just get maybe a pair of pliers and pull it back. Since you said it puts a tiny bit of pressure on the back plate, instead of bending it back, try using pliers and pulling it outward.

EDIT - Since you have no tools, just do it by hand..

Well i have pliers but wouldnt using pliers cause an uneven bend? I would want a smart bend and not a jagged one. Guess it would be pretty tough to do it with pliers lol.

Don't use any tools. You'll mark up the case and even that little bit of damage can hurt the resale value for nitpickers

Honestly, I wouldn't do anything.

It's good.

So would you recommend just leaving it and not try by hand? Im just cautious about the tiny bit of pressure being put on it.....it is only tine so doubt it will bend the mobo or anything.
