Overclocking gtx570 twin frozr 3 hawk edition...

Thread Starter

So, I successfully overclocked my i5 2500k to 4.5ghz. Now, I want to overclock my GPU.

I purchased:

Because I knew I wanted to overclock this card. My main question is, what values would you guys recommend I start with? I'm always hesitant when I first start overclocking new parts because I never know what to start at.

Also, the temps are great on this card currently. It idles at 30 degrees and the highest it reaches is 62 degrees while gaming.

Current settings:

Voltage: 1.04-1.06 (not sure)
Core Clock: 770
Shadow Clock: 1540
Memory Clock: 2000
Fan speed(while idling): 40%

Just leave the voltage how it is and start turning the clocks up till you get a driver crash or artifacting. Then you can either stop or do more voltage. Read up on safe levels/temps for the card, just like with the CPU.

With the Twin Frozr III, try to see if you can get it stable at least at 900/2000 @1.062v (try for 1.05v even). I recommend you run a benchmark tool preferably Unigine Heaven 2.5 for at least 1 hour to see if the drivers crash and/or you see any artifacts.

EDIT: Oh, I didn't see that you already found a stable clock

Ya, that is the best I was able to get

I don't want to go any higher on the voltage.

My gfx card passes 3dmark11 fine with 900/1800/2000 at 1.085volts, but when ingame like crysis 2 or bad company 2 for about an hour, I either crash to the desktop, or get a blue screen.

Thing is, I feel as though 900mhz on 1.1v is high right?
