I want my 2500k to get 4.3 ghz stock and 4.5 ghz turbo mode in the uefi bios. Does anyone have a guide for this or can someone tell me how?I want to over clock my ram too.

lol, there's a button that says "REP+" at the lower left side of every post. You click it to give rep to whichever post you found useful wink.gif

Anyway, there are a number of guides which are pretty useful. There is no one "ultimate guide". I only recommended that one because it is by JJ and JJ works for Asus so he knows the boards pretty well...

btw, with that board, you can only set the turbo/target speed. There really isn't a "stock" clock option. If you have EIST enabled, it will run at 1.6Ghz when idle and ramp up to the turbo clock when under load smile.gif

I think what you're trying to say is "not to derail or anything..."

A troll is someone saying something with the expectation of a negative response. Asking how to give rep, def not in that category smile.gif.

Osea, to get started, leave everything stock but the following:

Multiplier to 45
Short & Long duration power limits to 255
Core current limit to 255
Vcore you want around 1.28 - 1.31 for 4.5ghz (maybe less but this is average guess), this is voltage on load in CPU-Z after vdroop and LLC. Be sure you have the latest version of CPU-Z.
LLC can be stock at this point (lowest I think)
CPU PLL to 1.70-1.75 (this can stay at stock if you'd like but its generally recommended around this range)

And then lastly just check that EIST (also called Intel Speedstep or Enhanced Intel Speedstep depending on mobo) and C1E are ENABLED. Sandy Bridge needs this on, this will cause your clock speed to adjust up and down based on load. Disabling this can cause stability problems.

Whether you use offset voltage or fixed voltage is up to you, I personally prefer offset voltage because that means you'll have a low idle voltage. Since I'm at 1.47v right now, I really don't want to be at 1.47v all the time if I don't have to. The downside is that Offset users tend to require a higher voltage (on load in cpu-z) than Fixed voltage users do for stability. This is explained by fairly simple control theory (and is influenced by the LLC option) but it's still more than I'd like to type, unless you are particularly interested in that issue.
