Both the NH-D14 and Silver Arrow can be had for $69.99:

http://www.directron.com/nhd14.html

For a cooler that costs almost twice as much as the D14, the H100 doesn't really deliver all that much more IMO. Yes it performs a bit better, but it's also not as quiet. In addition, the H100 arguably has even more case compatibility issues than even the largest of air coolers due to its 240mm radiator.

I mean, if you're going to spend that much on a cooling solution, just look at the relative performance differences. The H100 (with fans at 2600 rpm) performs about 7C better than the D14 with stock 1300 rpm fans. The Rasa 360 kit performs 20C better than the D14 and doesn't need 2600 RPM fans to do it, unlike the H100.

My thoughts exactly, and thanks for that link! I paid $89.99 for mine. frown.gif

I think if you're going to spend $120 for the H100, you're better off spending the extra $10 for a rasa kit.

Go with which ever one you find that's cheaper.

The Silver Arrow is $75 at that site 996gt2 linked to

Personally, I love the D14, even added a 3rd fan to it. It's quiet and a solid cooler.

Every H100 thread apparently introduces a custom water loop...
People who decide to purchase a Corsair Hydro cooler, like stated several times, do not want maintenance, very less chance of leaks, and cost significantly less as I personally might as well run loops through my GPU's if I decide to go that route...
Relating to maintenance, I was reading about copper stains and pumps failing, along with nothing being covered...

Then if you are a beginner, like me, I don't even know what size tubing to start, how powerful the pump needs to be, rubber ring sizes... distilled water...
...I am happy with my buy with this all in one, zero maintenance cooler that provides acceptable overclocking levels, specifically better than any air cooler...

Would love to have this cooler but unfortunately i hear people have problems making it fit on Antec 1200. Sorta bummer for me. I don't have any other choice unless i really wanna replace the 200mm Bad Boy fan then i can mount it on top but meh.. heat rises and i don't just feel comfortable having it on top when i wanted to mount it outside behind the case. Damn Corsair.

You're entitled to your opinion, and I'm entitled to mine.

Considering you can get the D14 for $69, the H100 is not worth $50 extra. It only beats it at the cost of running the fans at FULL speed.

Personally, I like a quiet computer, over a loud one, especially over a couple degree difference.

Rasa kit however, is worth $10 more over the H100 to ME, since we're talking about 10 - 20 degree difference.

yeah I found out the hard way... at that point you seriously might want to consider an H80 and use the lower 120mm back fan...
Our Antec cases are old and they cannot tell the future with these newer radiators... And Corsair can only make the radiators ends so big...

edit* Which probably isn't worth the upgrade from an H70...

Mine's very quiet. You can hear the GPU fan over the fans on the H100. 20 degree difference? Yeah right.
