Google Voice and Tmobile

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I just remembered I setup my phone for google voice a while back, and I am still a bit confused about the way it works. So it says that within United States they are free calls, but Will it still use up my tmobile minutes when the google voice number calls my phone?

I know the service itself is free, but how does it go about using my minutes I currently have on my plan?

Details:
Tmobile
G2 Phone

Basically, whenever you use your google voice, it calls a 1-800 google number, then google calls whoever, then connects the two lines. You do use your minutes to call the 1800 number. Though, any additional fees/costs incurred ontop of your plan don't count, so you could technically call Ethiopia or China if you'd like, because google's the one who's actually calling them for you, and just patching you through, using the 1800 number.

If I remember correctly....

You can use your computer to make phone calls, and possibly over wifi using your device, and it doesn't use your minutes... ( I think?)

Actually, Google has their own rates for international calls. But calling from your cell will take up minutes, and if you have minutes for any other landlines or cell phones that are connected to your Google voice, they will take up minutes as well. Calling from your computer on Gmail will not take up any minutes since it is independent of anything.
