i7 2600k which cooler?

Thread Starter
So I got the i7 2600k but now I want a good cooler for overclocking.
which one should I get? I need a good but also quiet cooler.

- Scythe Mugen 2 Rev.B SCMG-2100

- Noctua NH-U9DO A3

- Noctua NH-U9B SE2

- ... or any good "Noctua" with the price range of the scythe mugen 2 rev b
the Noctua NH-D14 is to expensive for me

Also the cooler must fit in an Asus P8P67 Deluxe with Corsair Vengeance Low Profile ram
and in an Antec Threehundred case.

Thanks in advance!

I'm unsure of the size coolers that can fit in your case, but a couple more nice coolers that fall in your price range are the Thermaltake Frio and the Thermalright Venomous X.

Between the Mugen 2 and Noctua NH-U9B SE2, the Mugen's size will prevail giving you lower temps, but for a 2600K i'd buy a Thermalright or Prolimatech. From Noctua i'd only buy the NH-U12P SE2 or the D14.

Anyways here are a few suggestions:

LE: The Antec 300 has 200mm width, so i'm going to gues-estimate it should have a CPU cooler clearance of ~170-175mm.

Just to give you a heat-sink height point of reference, I have a V8 on a 1090T with all ram slots loaded with Corsair Vengeance, in an Antec Three Hundred.

NZXT Havik hands down seriously, everyone should know about this beast of a cooler.

It's NZXT's first cooler and it's already ripping up the competition
Here's an Australian pc store for it, the review link is sumwhere...
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=18073

It's more quiet (and i mean MORE quiet) than the Noctua NH-D14 and outputs better load temps.

Take a look dude, I'll be fetching one of these soon

I'm building an i5-2500k socket 1155 system for a friend in an HAF X RC 942 case,

Prolimatech Megahalems Rev.B was recommended to me as were a few others, after reading many reviews I chose the Megahalems Rev.B. You only need to buy 1 or 2 fans, I chose 2 COOLER MASTER R4-BMBS-20PK-R0 Blade Master 120mm Case Fan
