How much is my sigrig worth?

post #1 of 11
Thread Starter
I'm tired of having too much horsepower and I want to part it off to potential buyers and be able to pocket enough money for an overhaul of an LGA775 rig, and get myself a sweet guitar/amp combo.

I have no idea how much this is worth, I paid 1800 for it. Would it be worth like 1300-1200? I really don't know. I appreciate any and all answers, and this is a big step for me.

Hmm, that seems a little bit low but I shall wait for some second/third opinions. When I wake up, maybe I can list the tower itself on the marketplace if I find a comfortable price.

I didn't realise how much that case is worth.

I recalculated everything again and came up with $1225 shipped.

The board and gpu is $500 alone imo.

I would say around the ~$1300 mark, Maybe $50 higher?

Well, actually, lets do some math!
i7 = $200
GTX480 = $300
ASUS Rampage = $300
hdd = $45
sound card = $50
psu = $145
case = $205
CPU cooling = $75
monitor = $160
os = $90
ram = $55

total = $1625

1225-1300 shipped is looking like the norm. That $1600 guesstimate is way too high, I think, those are brand-new prices. I'll wait for some final opinions. I wouldn't want to part it off, WAY too much hassle. I'd just really pack it tight and efficiently and ship the tower.

This is a fair breakdown of what things are going for.

i7 = $200-215
GTX480 = $300-310
ASUS Rampage = $300-320 great mobo
hdd = $40-45
sound card = $40-50
psu = $130-140
case = $180
CPU cooling = $50
monitor = $150
ram = $50

$1300-1375 range would be a good starting point. Hard to sell full rigs, so you may break it down which is never fun. Good luck with your sale though!

Remember, you can start a little high and ask for OBO. I'd say start 1375-1400. Sc4r3d is right, so many people build their own systems now that most are looking for used parts rather than whole systems.
