Ok the primochill tubing appears to be ok anyway. It must just compress it alot earlier....i cant pull the tubing off at all.

The clear tubing i have done the fitting up too much now that i cant undo the thing. My hands!

I had this problem once. After running the system for a bit I tried again and they screwed down more easily so gradually over time I got them fully screwed in.

I reckon it was the warm water making the tubing more flexible so you could try heating your tubing in a mug of boiling water before putting the fitting on just like you would do with 7/16" tubing on 1/2" barbs

If you screw it down too far it can cut/weaken the tubing. As long as it doesn't come off with a tug then it's fine. The EK fittings are Metric rather than imperial sizing so there could be a fraction of a mm difference in sizes.

The O/D of the bue primo is too big... The fittings don't fit properly, you need to get tubing to match the I/D nd O/D of the compression fittings...

Were they harder to undo though as the tubing may have expanded?

The OD is exactly the same. They are both 7/16 ID and 5/8 OD.

Nah they weren't The straight ones were the hardest to get on as the collar was cutting into the tubing even though like you I get the right sizes. Some tubing just sucks :/ I always get Tygon now.

Ahh ok. Yeah, i bought Primochill due to the amount of people saying its good. Guess i will have a look at tygon. I havent got enough money to buy any different fittings or tubing right now. I have the compression fittings as in this thread, and the barbs that came with the RASA kit. Im undecided as to what ones to use. The barbs are extremely tight with the primochill tubing. The compression fittings are tight however i cant tighten it by much....although im guessing its still compressed.

Seems like there are quite a few issues with primochill tubing and compression fittings. I have screwed it in as much as i can and the tube wont come out with me tugging it. There is still around a 4mm gap between the barb and tightener. That sound like it will be ok to you guys?

The tightening rings will not screw all the way down on the compression fittings. It will screw down to a point and then get snug as it compresses the tubing. You don't need to wrench them down too tight, as you will have a hard time to get them back off. Just simply test fit tubing to the compression fitting a couple of times and test trying to remove the tubing with the ring screwed on. This will give you an idea of how tight to screw down the ring.
