XFX 650W XXX Edition or XFX PRO650W ? Both are 30 euros cheaper then the corsair in my country. Does it really matter if it's 80+ or 80+ bronze?
Sorry if i keep asking stupid questions, i'm just clueless.

Thanks a lot. That solves the psu problem, unless someone can talk me into buying a similar psu for 30 euros more . Just need to choose a new case and figure out if i want better cpu cooling than stock.

Also how do i reduce the latency on my memory?

Ok, let me get this right. You advise him to change the mid-range 5xxx card for extra-high-end 7xxx card??

Ok, on that note, change your CPU to double 12 core Xeons, your mobo to anythign with dual Xeon socket and 36Gb RAM, upgrade to 36Gb DDR3 2200 and get 4x GTX580 SLi That should suit your needs

I'd definitely vote for replacing the Power Supply first thing.

Your board's pretty new so I can't find screenshots of your BIOS configuration screens, unfortunately. Else I could point you to the RAM config options.

blep, can you post up a picture of the CPU-Z SPD readout for your RAM sticks and quote the exact model number of your RAM sticks?

EDIT: Also, for a new case? Try a HAF 922 or something of that variety. I find the "little brother" HAF cases look pretty slick without being so big that they're practically armored tanks.

Hehe if that's what i wanted i wouldn't have bought a nice affordable amd/ati system in the first place .

Those temps are really low! See what performance you can squeeze out of it by overclocking. I also have a Sapphire HD 5770, it's the lowest temp and easiest card I have ever bought and worked with period. You will be able to hit some nice clocks with it.

What type of case are you looking for? Simple, sleek, flashy, etc...

If you're looking to upgrade to a larger size gpu some smaller cases might be a no go.

Ok, RAM specs are: "High-performance 8GB Vengeance Dual Channel Kit, 1600MHz, 9-9-9-24, 1.5V" so your CPU-Z RAM readout matches the specs as far as timings. Good. You'll need to crank it from 1333 to 1600 but that's just a BIOS setting.

So not really much more optimization you can do unless you try changing down to 8-8-8-24 and running memory + stability tests to see if your system can tolerate the slightly speedier settings.

One note: You may find that reaching 1600 MHz on your DDR3 will require some voltage tweaking. I could never get my nominally-1600 MHz DDR3 to work at 1600, I had to be satisfied with DDR3-1333 mode with tight timings.

I'm looking for a case with good airflow, good cable management and with more space than i have in my centurion 534 (which is crap). Looks don't bother me that much to be honest.
