Which one is sharper?

I'm looking for something cheapish for wide angle for a vacation that I'm going on just for getting family portraits in front of landmarks and such~ Any other recommendations? I'd like it under $400.

24 f2.8. Wider is better for me personally. You probably would notice the IQ difference too.

Sigma 30mm f/1.4 is pretty great. Can be found ~$350 used. If you want wider, the Sigma 10-20mm is also a good place to look. Can be found used for $400 IIRC.

You might want to rent/go try these in the store if you're unsure, then. My pick is with the 35 f/2, the 24 and 28 aren't really anything to write home about, although the 24 is better than the 28.

i see more people on potn like the 24 more if that helps which it probably doesnt lol

i second the 30 1.4 great piece of glass

im not a FF user obviously but the 30 is great on the 1.6 crop since its supposed to be like a 50 on FF

Sub's 35 f/2 was damn good, but then again that was on full frame. Wait for Samyang's 24 1.4.
