Hello everyone. Last thread i posted I needed my ssd replaced. Got the replacement and also bought a velociraptor HDD for my games kept the 1tb for movies pictures music etc....the problem I have now is when the computer goes to sleep and after waking it up the computer is unresponsive for about 20 second. After that it runs fine but that 20 seconds is annoying lol. Any help or ideas???

sounds like there is a hard drive power down and it's spinning them up tbh... I've not seen it before but I would put money on it...

Oh so it could be it's spinning the 2 HDD up to speed?

You can try disabling HD sleep mode; power options, advanced plan settings will show the options.

Yeah,

Basically when your machine is starting up, it spins up the drives and gets them ready for reading. When I launch WoW from my mech drive, it takes a while to start up because of the idle timeout... Now because your machine is going to sleep the hard drives will turn off, Simple as, you can't change this and it will continue to happen.

However I agree that 20 seconds is quite long, i'd expect 5 seconds but maybe it's because of the drives themselves..

Do me a favor, unplug your hitachi then try again

In sleep mode, everything is powered down except the mobo and RAM.

It does sound like a spin up issue with one of your HDDs..... is the paging or any other system files are on the HDDs?
Once again...

Check the SMART status to see if there any issues with it. 20s is too long.
