Give me some feedback on the Thrustmaster, if you think it's good I might pick one up as well. They are quite cheap.
I don't think they would dumb down the flight controls from BF2 as it's not a bad company.

I'll let you know how it is.. I'll have to buy hawx or something.

I have very fond memories of that game and I'm pretty sure the flight mechanics will probably be the same in BF3 as they were in BF2.
I agree that the keyboard/mouse controls are very good for flying, I just want a bit of an edge and a more authentic experience.

I've been looking at it and it seems nice.
I've had this for about 6 months now, I don't do flight sims or anything, but it's pretty good in BF2 and BC2.

Wait till you use a stick, you'll be flying circles around people using mouse/keyboard.

Yes, it allows for rotation. It has everything you need for a basic flight sim.

BF2 was an amazing built in flight sim for a war sim game. If you are thinking of BFBC2, then yes, a joystick was useless.

For the price, i dont think you can go wrong vs a logitech, mircrosoft counterpart.

I really like the way the magnets work vs an all spring version. I'll make sure to bookmark this thread and post my update when beta comes out in september.
