Why does the card still have a fan on it if its water cooled?

And doesn't PNY typically stick with reference designs running at stock clocks? I'm not sure watercooling is really required here, especially with a CPU on the loop as well.

Not that I'm against the idea. It just seems weird the way they're doing it.
It's a gpu only waterblock so the fan will help cool the vregs and vram.
not overly impressed tbh.I bet it still gets quite loud!

Such horrible support for multiple gpu's and cpu cooling. How do they expect that to work for cpu and gpu? I've never done water cooling, but even I know that the rad provided isn't enough for both. When they incorporate a larger rad (to reach the top of most cases), and multiple gpu support for it, maybe then, but the product makes absolutely no sesne.

I know alot of you are doubting the cooling capacity of the product. However, I see this. Its a great idea, that Zotac is also embracing, which is a good turn for consumers. This will eventually evolve to greater products.

Take for instance me: I have been a air cooled only guy for years. However, have been looking at these closed loop systems to dabble into WC. Super, I can now get a Corsair/Asus/whoever H/Z/x 80-100 for cpu to play with. Plus pick up a closed loop system video card.

I think its great, and I support companies innovating like this.

Isn't the tubing a bit short for the CPU + GPU combo?

That's what I was thinking. Kinda limits your options, doesn't it? I know it's not likely to work in my system (not that I'd want it). Is it possible that it's just a mock-up, and they'll have different tubing lengths available?

Here's a video of the prototype with a GTX 580

Actually pretty impressive

More info here: http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=150702

I'd buy one if it fits multiple cards
