Having a program start the instant you release the mouse button is very gratifying.

I would frame this as "Why WOULDN'T you get an SSD"
I was an owner of one and didn't see a difference to justify the $100 price tag for only 60GB of space. I had OS, my music, and a few games on there and I had already ran out of space before I knew it.

That is why SSD = Boot drive with a few small programs like AIM, Chrome and Steam, and my 3TB of HDDs keep everything else on them.

you guys dont look at his specs

its an amd 945

he has a 550 gpu

he isnt spending 2grand on a computer why would he need something that gives barely anything to what HE needs

i think ppl need to answer questions based on whats best for the person ASKING

it isnt going to make you game faster online
it is going to save some secs/mins of your time sometimes

overall its amazing but for your rig i dont find it as important as a dif upg

These threads give me a headache. A SSD used for the OS drive will increase the snappiness of any machine. I explained in another one of these threads that when I put a SSD in an old P4 system I had, it felt like a brand new machine.

People who keep saying "SSDs aint worth it" must have their heads up their asses or just don't realize how much of a bottleneck a HDD really is.

If you're one of the people saying something stupid like "It's only going to help your system boot up faster" then go jump off a bridge.

Ssd is the single best improvement you can make with a computer.Mechanical hard drives are a huge bottleneck that can only be fixed with a ssd.Once you use an ssd you can't ever go back too a spinner.

Not worth it?You must be nuts,or never used one.

Totally worth it if it's just a boot drive! You will never go back after you try it.

I put one in my net-book!
And it went from "painfully slow" to "acceptable"! After using Sig rig, that is

And, for those that do use an SSD!
Check out Steam Mover! SSD owners, "Must have App!"
