Build me a Sandy Bridge rig $1400 budget - Page 2

Mine, but take out the second 6970 and custom loop. That should be right around $1400, maybe a tad higher. Could also take out the SSD and go for nicer case, which would require a different PSU.

Lmk, this is the rig I wanted to build for myself, but money put me back haha. (Except I wanted a 580.. )

EDIT - The reason being for the beefy PSU is overclocking headroom and just in case you decide to Xfire later. Plus it's modular so you'll be able to manage your cables better
Sorry meant to reply /:
Like the case, though id probably end up modding it with a window.
Agree with you on the PSU size, 800 could work too.
The mobo looks freakin sweet! But the reviews from that SSD scare me
Looked up some reviews for the H60 and was shocked, it looks like a great cooler. Have you used it personally?

EDIT: just saw that it struggles when the CPU is overclocked.. hitting near 80 Celsius /:

I own the H50 and my 2500k is OC'd at 4.5Ghz and it never hits 60* under P95... So I don't see how the H60 would be any worse than mine.. o.O

Yeah, the SSD had some bunk reviews, but for the combo price and for that mobo it's a pretty good deal. And their coming out with a firmware update, so it may look promising afterwards.

Personally, the H-Series is pretty nice, as for the temp issues, I've never had one, and I run the H50 model so yeah..

Phantom window mods are sweet too, so if you do decide to snag all this, I'll def sub to that build!
