Can't get a stable OC with Phenom X6 1090t - Page 2

Just to give you an idea about that high cpu temp.....
Im running a hyper 212 w\\1 fan, its a 1055t (2.8G stock) OC to 3.8G and it never hits over 48 c playing Crisis 2 and idles between 26-28 depending on rm temp!!

I think I am going to buy that heatsink. It seems to be highly recommended around here

Yeah, you can get a hyper212 like brewermoe. In fact, why don't you contact him and ask for any perks and installation tips about that cooler ? It's always easier to follow an example.

It's no suprise you can't get a stable overclock with that cooling.
Regarding water cooling, I'm running 38C max Core Temp under full load at 4.5GHZ. It wasn't pre-installed obviously, but it is technically a "kit" - $150 at that.
