New PC Tell me if its good - Page 2

On that setup, it was most likely your gpu lagging you, not the cpu. That said, you should get a 965 BE, because they will oc much more easily than the 940, and also get a decent cpu cooler. If you are mostly gaming, then you will not need anything more than a quad core for a while.
Also, for your HDD, look at the WD Caviar black 1tb, it is one of the fastest 1tb mechanical drives out.
Last, but not least, look into some lower latency ram, but CL9 isn't horrible.
And a single graphics card would be better than sli from the start, so the 580 would be great for you.
Enjoy your build!

It's hard to get a good deal on the 965BE, and its only slightly cheaper than an X6.

The 940 is a C2 stepping with DDR2 only support. The 965 is a C3 stepping with both DDR2/DDR3 support. C3 stepping is better for ram like DDR3-1600. Those are the only advantages the 965BE has, otherwise its clock for clock the same as the 940.

An SSD would be his best bet, he would notice a huge speed responsiveness in his system over a mechanical drive.

I agree with you however on the single GPU solution, that is always the best to start out with

Just one more question about the new pc i posted is everything in it compatible since im no expert ?
yes, everything is compitable, but i wouldnt go with a SLI solution, its to much horsepower for an AMD cpu and will probably get bottlenecked. i was even slightly bottlenecked with 2x 6950's on a 4ghz i7-860 in curtain games.

For a CPU i would go with a 965BE.
For HDD i would go for 2x 1TB samsung spinpoint F3. [attleast get something with 7200rpm]
For GPU i would go for the best single card solution you can afford. 1st a GTX580 otherwise a 6970. [if you ever upgrade to a faster system you can easely SLI or CF them]

Okay so if i get a 965BE will it bottleneck sli gtx 560?
and if i get 965BE and gtx 580 is single gtx 580 better then sli gtx 560 ? cause i wont have money to buy another gtx 580
and is there a solution to solve botleneck on x6 with sli gtx 560 and if not how much it wil bottleneck?

GTX560ti in SLI is faster then 1 GTX580 but only like 10 to 15%
I would get the GTX580, in some games you might get a slight CPU bottleneck.
Whenever you upgrade again you can always add another GTX580 for sli.
If you go GTX560ti SLI now you cant upgrade anymore while with a GTX580 you can.

I like the idea of upgrading but since i wont have money to upgrade id like to take gtx560's
And wouldnt sli 580's get bottlenecked since they are much better then 560's ?
I'm not VERY aware of AMD though but i guess it's good judging from the fact you have a decent set up.
