Nvidia GTS 450 SLI'd. 92C under load.

Thread Starter
First card isn't barely taking any load, and sits at 70C. The other card, which is taking full load, is running at 90C.

I am running an R3 from Alienware. I know, I know...

From what I can tell, it looks like a case of two cards too close to each other, but I can't find any other type issues from other R3 owners.

Suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.

Edit- Also, does anyone know why running SLI only uses mainly 1 of my two cards? Yes, I am an SLI nub.

am attaching Dxdiag.

Bridge-yes. Ambient-29-30C Fan speed on the high temp card is set by system, but never above 70%. Thanks

Buy a case with better airflow? I recently did a build for a friend with the HAF 912 and it has extremely good airflow for a $50 case, even better than my CM 690 II Adv, which costs $90.

I would buy one of those if you want better cooling.

Or you could buy a CM elite 370 for $35 and have better cooling options without the god awful looks.

Probably just need to do some cable management.

Can you take some pics of the interior for us. GTS 450s aren't inherently hot GPUs, they shouldn't get that hot unless you have horrid case airflow and or non-existent cable management, which is fairly common with prebuilt computers.

I will get some pictures for you later tonight when I get home. Thank you.
