Strange temps.

Heya guys, I've got an M59 case, brother to the Evo in Ehumes guide to positive pressure.

I've got 2x 120mm from intake, 1x 120mm side intake and 2x 140mm top intake. No exhaust.

Idle temps have gone from about 29-32 with a single side intake and rear exhause to about 32-37 with the above setup, tbh I can barely feel any air coming out the rear.

I ran prime for about 15minutes, wheras I'd normally see 75-80c I saw a max of 65c, which is good, I've love to see lower idles though, maybe have the top as exhausts?

Also, due to cable's and the fact the TY-140's are curved I can't fit both in the case, one of the top intakes is on the outside, would this matter?

Also, the M59 is a nice little case. with 5 intakes and 1 cpu fan the side panel covering the wires is nearly impossible to get on, I with I had've just splurged a bit more on the case.

Cheers guys, Mikey.

Edit*
Despite having a 5way PWM splitter I haven't noticed any of my fans increasing in speed as temps rise.
Also, my Scythe SlipStream120 is advertised as a PWM fan and is only 3pin, it says "connector 3pin-4pin" on the box though.

Crysis2 brought temps up to 68c

You need the air to flow into your case one way and out of your case at the opposite end. You could turn the top fans around to that is the exhaust, that could work.

Most cases have intakes at the front and side and exhaust through the back and top.

I was going by ehumes positive pressure case as he has nearly the same case / fan setup.

I'll try top exhaust

Sounds strange indeed. Maybe upload some images and tel us the rpm of the fans. You say you don't have a single exhaust I take it that means the rear fan placement is left empty. Also is your CPU cooler mounted horizontaly aka blowing out the back?

Yes the slot is empty, CPU cooler is facing towards the back.

Can't check rpm's as I'm out. Fans are TY-140 x2, the two standard M59 120mm fans as front intake. Scyth slipstream slim 120mm (I think that's 1600rpm)

Pics when I'm at home.

Afaik people here are telling to cut out the rear grill of the case when they choose for all intakes, no outtake fans (positive pressure case). Since you haven't that might be the reason for your higher idle temps?

I doubt the grill would result in higher idle temps than when I only have 3 fans (side intake, rear exhaust and cpu)

Switched fans around, got 2x 140mm top exhaust, 1x push fan on 212+, two 120mm front intakes and a 120mm side intake.

Lowest I had was 28c idle, it fluctuates a lot, just typing this it'll jump between 30-34 and back again, is this normal?

Edit*
Just got to 46c whilst doing simple internet browsing, only for a second. More fans = higher temps?

Is your graphics card a rear exhaust reference type? Does your psu take its air from the case or from the outside?
