Confirming that there are jitter issues with my abyssus. I'm using it on a standard qck. X axis seems fine but Y axis can be a real nightmare. It's LoL edition btw.

I should have been clearer. They should have been flashable to begin with.

Just got the Razer Abyssus today for a temporary replacement till i get another Lachesis. It's a great mouse and the design is similar to the Lachesis Using 3500 dpi on the Razer Destructor mouse pad there is no jitter.

Yeah, you're fine on hard surfaces. The jitter is mostly noticeable on soft cloth pads.

My Kai.G3 HARD (hard cloth pad) showed minimal jitter. unfortunately, that pad is a little too slick for me

I found that my Abyssus would high center and scrape on the Kai.G3. I had the same issue with the Talent where the slightest bit of pressure would case the mouse to bottom out. It doesn't happen so easily on the QcK+ because the pad is so thin it doesn't give very much from pressure.

Just got this, decided to remove the led as it was making my hand kind of hot(palm), noticed that you can just take away the middle part aswell

http://blog.gaingame.com/wp-content/...12-300x225.jpg

Now this is even more lighter with a proper sensor <3, wish I could just implant a mouse in the middle of my palm.

Can easily notice the difference between Avago ADNS-A9500 and Avago ADNS-S3888.

It might be a combination of the feet wearing down and my new raindrop breaking in. For some reason, my older qck still doesn't have this problem.
Anyway. I'm editing my first post and sending this thing back to amazon while I still can.
To krameriffic, your skepticism is valid tongue.gif

Skylit,

Do you recall if you happened to rotate your mouse pad before that scrim? I don't feel it has anything to do with wearing down the pads at all. I believe it just has to do with the direction your mouse pad's weave lays, and how big the weave is. I found that if I rotate my Qck+ 90degrees I can experience the jitter. If I attempt to draw vertical lines at the same angle as the primary weave pattern on my Qck I can get the jitter. For some reason it doesn't jitter if I draw a line horizontally with the grain of the weave. The primary weave(s), for lack of a better term, does go somewhat go in diagonal direction as your illustration shows.

I have found that the weave on my Allsop Raindrop Widescreen is smaller than that of my Qck, and therefor I don't get jitter at any angle on it.

The easiest way to test your pad for jitter on the Abyssus is to.. 1) Draw vertical lines in paint, check for jitter. 2) Rotate your mouse pad 15 degrees. 3) Repeat until you've rotated your mouse pad 360.

There's really no reason to hold your mouse in an awkward position if you just rotate your pad and draw lines as normal.

TLDR: The Abyssus is prone to jitter on cloth mouse pads with thicker weave. Buy an Allsop, boycott Steelseries.=)
