Need help can't get computer to start

Thread Starter
I just finished a new build with the Asus sabertooth and corsiar hx 1050. Here is the issue. I tested the ps with a jumper a d it clicks on with fan running and seems to be ok. Hook everything up and the light on the board turns on but no go. Can't get it to turn on at all. Not sure what the deal is. Any suggestions?

Any beeps or anything?

Try one stick of ram at a time

All the cables correctly seated? cpu/gpu connectors

I am assuming that you have the 8 pin power going to the top left of the board also? If so, like ryanbob said, one stick of ram at a time, try the first in all 4 slots, try the 2nd in all 4 slot.

Ok so checked power everything seems to be seated good on he board. Tried 2 sets of memory one at a time in all slots. When I power up the ps does not kick on at all but when I jump it it turns on and runs fans pump etc. Any other suggestions. This is killing me

Is the cpu fan plugged in? Ive had boards not start if that isnt detected.

Could be the power switch. Try jumping the motherboard powerswitch pins for a few seconds

I agree with 808MP5. Reseat the plugs on the front panel connectors. Double check labels.

Yes I plugged the CPU fan in and tried to do the power jumper from the front panel. Asus said something may be touching metal. Its really odd. I am going to drain and pull off cards and try more trouble shooting.

What exactly did u try to jump? What did u use to jump it? Whatever u used it needs to be bare metal.

Not familiar with ur board but does it have it's own power button onboard.

Well I jumped the ps to make sure it kicks on. Which it did. I also played with the lower switch cable connected to board and front of case. Still stumped. Taking it about to try to test the board alone.

Ohh and Asus sabertooth no power switch / button on board.
