(this is just me)....

I put everything together and just plug in my previous hard drive and start using it. I've never did a fresh install of an OS.

I don't need any benchmarks to prove to me how much faster the new build/upgrade is because it has all my current programs/games on it.

So what I do is play my favorite games/programs and I can see the improvement in speed.

I've been using the same Hard drives in all my builds since 2007. Matter fact, next year might be the first 100% new build I ever do. Normally something (like my hard drives) carries over to the new build (does that make it an "upgrade" instead of a "new build" )
