[Tom'sHardware] Epic Shifting Focus Back to PC as Primary Platform - Page 3

If this means them bringing the gears series back to the PC I'm all for it. I'm getting tired of the 30fps cap on the both Gears 1 and 2.

When games are made for PC, they end up better for both console and gamer platforms graphics wise.

For example BF3.

Also, if/when The Witcher 2 comes out on console, it will be great.
Honestly, theres just so much back and forth going on its hard to say what will happen as far as whether games are developed for pc more once again or designed with the consoles in mind first and PCs second as soon as the next consoles hit.

But one thing remains sure, once the moment of truth shows its face, we'll still be waiting here with our hardware. Been saving for an overkill Ivy Bridge build for a while now. Once it hits and the new rig is built I will be ready for pc gaming's future

Anyone who said this automatically gets my hate and suspicion, not sure how good his intentions are.

I see console gaming dying off in general in the future and moving towards cross platform apps with PCs staying strong as a gaming platform. At the end of the day all that matters is the games themselves and not the hardware, and there are countless new gaming devices coming out constantly. The next generation of consoles will likely be capable of anything a modern PC could do, but will be incredibly crippled so its only function will be to play games, I don't see this model lasting long into the future.

[Spank's Hardware] Spankeh _not_ shifting focus back to Epic as primary PC games developer

Soz Epic, you've burnt that bridge. You'll have to pull some top notch stuff out of the proverbial in order to get me to come back, and even then I'm not convinced.

The youtube video is impressive but it's not a real time render so it doesn't tell me much about what games will be like.
