Thread Starter
I ran 3dmark11 and my 2500k is 4.5ghz, however, on 3dmark result page it only shows 1599 MHz. Is this common?

Your 2500k drops down to 1.6Ghz when the system is idle/doing low performance stuff. That is perfectly normal.

It probably grabbed the speed while it was idling, either immediately before or after the test.
