looking for a second 6870, but which is best?

I am considering getting another 6870 this weekend, but i have a few questions/clarifications. I have a ZNFC(link below) XFX HD 6870, will it lose effectiveness if i pair it with say a XFX ZDFC HD 6870, or a ZNBC from XFX. my main concern is that there might be a conflict between the two if they arent identical, or if they are running at a different OC. I think the ZDFC would be good because i could put that up top with its better cooling, right now i have a 120mm fan blowing fresh air right into the intake of my current video card.

Also, just making sure but my 750 watt PSU should be good enough for both with a OC on CPU, Ram, and slight OC on GPU? I plan on buying the FX-8150 when it comes out so that will take more power than my current cpu.

My current card ZNFC:

ZNBC

thanks in advance

I'd get the middle one, better cooling and you can easily overclock it to the black edition level.

I don't think you'll loose performance only because your gfx cards are from different companies.

Different companies means different clock speeds and different coolers, that's it. As long as you'^re using the same HD 6870, you will get what you should be getting :/

and yes 750W should be enough unless you're running 4 fans on your tower already.

Your power supply should easily be able to handle the dual HD 6870s as when I was running them with a 940 @ 4.0 GHz, i still had some room to spare on my 750W.

I would also recommend going with the middle one, however make sure to have a case fan situated to push air into the case (if that card exhausts out of the case) or pull air out of the case (if that card exhausts into the case) as running dual cards side by side or with a gap can cause the primary card's temperatures to peak quite a bit.

I don't see what fans have to do with it, they only use like 2 watts each. 2x 6870 will run comfortably on a decent 650w PSU, even with 8 or so case fans.

thanks for the help guys, but i did decide to wait on a gpu upgrade, opted for a new computer case, some mx-4 compound(only thing available at compusa was really really cheap stuff), and the H80 cooler, because i plan on getting new ram to meet the speeds available with bulldozer when it comes out and my N520 cooler is already keeping me from having much of a heatsink on my ram. although with the expected release of the 7xxx series being this year, I'm thinking of holding out for that. I know this probably isnt the place for "speculation or rumors," but I have been out of the computer world since 2005, and would like insight into what one might expect in a performance gain in a jump to the 7xxx series cards over the 6xxx series? anyone have input on what they have seen from 4xxx to 5xxx to 6xxx? would 79xx series even be available close to the release?

Thanks
