I'm telling you that my problem is worse than yours, but yet my card is still fine. Do you think I care about my problem? No. I couldn't care less that I'm actually at 100% by the time I reach 85%. I really couldn't.

Again:

85% to 100% yields me exactly 3360 to 3390. No matter what, it always flip-flips between 3360 and 3390 in exactly the same way.

When I choose 84%, the RPM changes to 3300 - 3330. The sound of the fans also change for the first time.

I have the same problem that you have, and it's actually worse. Actually, I don't have a problem because I'm asking software to monitor hardware.
Fine, whatever youre right im wrong. Your likes and dislikes are more correct than mine. Please just leave now, i have actual people helping me and not trying to shove their opinions down my throat.

Smoblikat, here is my card's behavior:
  • 100%: 3360-3390 RPM
  • 99%: 3360-3390 RPM
  • 98%: 3360-3390 RPM
  • 97%: 3360-3390 RPM
  • 96%: 3360-3390 RPM
  • 95%: 3360-3390 RPM

Thats what im thinking, do this for me.

Go into MSI AB, set fan speed to 100%, LET IT RUN FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN SWITCH TO AUTO AND HIT APPLY, LOOK AT THE FAN SPEED. iT WILL GO DOWN TO 92 BEFORE SWITCHING TO 40.

Yes you should be, but in case you havent noticed IM NOT YOU AND YOU ARENT ME. We dont care about the same things.

Wait, you jerk you dont even own a GTX 470, why are you telling me a bunch of random stuff about a card that isnt even a 470?

I'm not sure why you keep going. The guy is obviously not concerned with you telling him that after a certain point it doesn't change. Just stop trying to force feed something that he doesn't want.

You're asking software to monitor hardware first of all. Second of all, this is like the third time that I've told you my issue is worse than yours. When I set my fan speed to 85%, I'm actually at 100%.

Do you understand? When I set my fan speed to 85%, it's actually at 100%. It doesn't go any faster no matter if I choose 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99 or 100. No matter what, 85% causes my fans to go as fast as they will ever go.

Should I be disappointed?

Again: 85% causes my fans to go at their maximum speed.

Sadly they won't be here until next week, but as I posted earlier, I recall there being a bug with AB where setting 100% fan speed actually reverted it back to 92% and there was no real way to get 100%. I think they patched that with a new version of MSI AB, but I don't recall when that was. If you're using any modern version of AB it should be fixed by now. I'll look around and see what I find.
