Acer S232HL stand removal

Thread Starter
Hey guys, I just purchased the Acer S232HL earlier today but am returning it because the colors look horribly washed out and I haven't been able to fix it after a couple hours of tinkering with settings and am overall disappointed with the product.
The only problem is I can't seem to get the stand off the monitor itself. It refuses to come off. I haven't pulled REALLY hard on it because I don't want to damage something. Has anybody had any experience with this monitor who knows how to remove the stand? Putting it in was as easy as pressing down firmly but it just won't come out now.

After further messing with it I just decided to pull a lot harder and it came out eventually with some wiggling. Hopefully this thread will help someone in the future as they do not state anywhere in the manual or online how to remove the stand after it's been put in, and I'd read some people were unable to remove it on some reviews as well.
