must be a different model then the one I have, mine is just a handle with a single round push switch. I must have the old model lol

I keep trying to make a video but I never has the same affect of being in the room when you blow a barns worth of dust out. This will be the third attempt, just waiting for more dust to collect biggrin.gif A spider made a web over the bottom intake on my last vid and it would inflate like a parachute whenever I turned on the pc

Wow! Do you have dust filters, is you case on carpet? I don't hardly have any dust in my case after 6-8 months. I usually do a really good clean once a year when I pull my loop apart and there's never that much dust.

Dude, you need to know that environments differ as to dust load. Thanks your luck. Your clean case has little to do with filters.

Its desert here, hot 104 at 6pm right now. The pc is on the floor though, under the desk plus two long haired cats and three peeps with long hair. We replaced the carpet years ago with wood.

Im not complaining mind you, the more dirt the better. Took 6months to get the pc good and filthy the last time. Figured id place the camera at case side and start cleaning. Poor lighting when i filmed so it never turned out so good. this time though i will be ready. Its really something to watch 5pounds of dust suddenly errupt out of your case, apocoliptic almost

I have to disagree with you there. First I've had cases on the floor before and believe me they get dusty real fast. Second my filters get plenty dusty there is a reason why people design filters lol. And lastly it also depends on the air pressure inside your case which I won't get into detail here. Basically there are plenty of things you can do to reduce dust in your case.

PS you have no idea where I live or what my environment is like so commenting on it makes no sense.

Well, I have to disagree with your disagreement. Good dust filters help up to a point. But you said "I don't hardly have any dust in my case after 6-8 months. I usually do a really good clean once a year when I pull my loop apart and there's never that much dust."

I congratulate you on your environment, where you are able to prevent dust buildup so that you can go a year between cleanings. For some places that would be impossible no matter what precautions you take. Your very success tells us much about where you live.

Even a fully filtered system will end up with a fine layer of dust built up inside of it. If air's going into your case then dust is also getting in.

A fine layer of dust beats a layer of dirt you can cultivate. Good filtration will also increase the interval between cleanings.

Had to join this thread. I love my Metro Vacuum DataVac. Unless mines different, it only blows not vacuums but it works fantastic! Way better than wasting money on can after can of air!!!
