Hi guys,

Was wondering if anyone knows if I that use 140 mm on my CPU cooler?

I want to buy two new fans, but I'm a total newb when it comes to fans, and there are just so many different brands/manufactures to choose from.

Can someone help me out?

Regards

scythe mugen 2 loud fan? Afaik it's one of the most silent cpu coolers nowadays. Are you sure you have it connected to your PWM connector on your motherbord + it's configured in your bios?

Solved the noise by setting the fan to a fixed rpm of 800.

Now I need a second fan to do a push-pull set-up.

Can someone recommed a brand/manufacture for the second 120mm fan?

Wow, before posting a sort of complaint about the Scythe fan noise you should study and research a little more on the Mugen 2.

Well for the cooler you could get another slipstream 120mm fans or if you're feeling rich today try out Scythe Gentle Typhoon fans.

Yeah your right, it wasn't fair to rant, when the fault was with me.

I looked at Scythe fans and found these two to be similarly priced:

Scythe Slip Stream SY1225SL12M:
1200 rpm
24 dB
68.54 cfm

Scythe Gentle Typhoon D1225C12B4AP-14:
1450 rpm
19 dB
45.9 cfm

Offhand, the Slip Stream seems to be the best choise even though its a bit louder than the Typhoon?
