[IGN] Gamescom: Modern Warfare 3 to Have Dedicated Servers on PC - Page 7

I bought MW2 because BF2 was five years old.

I bought Black Ops because I was unaware that modern CoD games are actually just skin/texture/mod/map packs of the last last last years iteration.

BF3 is being released on the 25th of October.

From that date onwards, I shall be playing:

-Battlefield 3
-F1 2010
-TES:Skyrim
-Pro Evolution Soccer 12

and probably nothing else.

Maybe in another five/six years when BF3 finally gets ever so slightly less enthralling, I shall look at the CoD franchise and decide on whether CoD 14 is an interesting enough way to spend my time.

Until then, Activision.

Please do not expect me to (pay any more than expansion pack prices for your glorified expansion packs) buy your games.

Too bad all of my time will be taken up by BF3 and Skyrim. Oh well, no loss here.

I really don't plan on buying another CoD series ever again regardless of what they do to it. I haven't purchased one since Modern Warfare.

Bigger maps? How does that matter if the maps are bigger if they game play inst balance around it?. A lot of people like close quarter combat. Vehicles? COD is infantry based. Vehicles aren't great. Commodo Rose lol.... Only the BF series needs because there is bigger maps. 2142 class? .. COD lets you customize your classes so you can play the way you want. Much better then BF3, also some weapons are not faction locked. Prone ? lol Cod has had prone since cod 1 and guess what Cod also has lean. Most like mw 3 wont though. Bipods- meh.

Cod needs to have game play balance for mouse and keyboard so like recoil, weapon sway etc. Also they need seriously balance there perks/kill streaks.

Still not getting a purchase from me, after all the issues Black Ops had/has not even in terms of gameplay, just in terms of optimization. I can run BC2 maxed at 60fps consistently, Crysis 2 vanilla maxed at 50, yet Black Ops runs at 40 frames with stuttering every second? Nope.jpeg

To Activision!,
next time dont take a @#&% year to release a fix for the PC community to make the game "acceptably" playable.

Too bad all these MW3 dedicated servers will be empty. I will be on BF3 Dedi servers.

I might buy it if it's on sale? I never really hated cod, I just didn't like how MW2 didn't have dedicated servers, so I didn't buy it. I still play COD 4 every once in awhile..

They won't be empty. There's people like my older cousin that just think Battlefield is to hard, so they play COD. Plus, it's not even a hard game to run, so people can have lower spec machines and run the game just fine..

He asked for the differences between BC2 and BF3.... not why CoD is better. Why are you comparing the two completely different games like they are the same?

If you want to go into it:
The possible bigger maps allow for more varied gameplay. There will be smaller infantry-centric maps as well. The bigger maps are nice for strategic games where the entire team isn't face-to-face all the time. Maneuverability and support will be important rather than just CQC all the time.

BF is a infantry and/or vehicle game... depends on map.

Vehicles aren't great is purely subjective. It does add extra dimensions with Veh-vs-Veh and Inf-vs-Veh.

Command Rose is need because players are need to work together.... like a team.

I agree with just about everything except for faction locked weapons. It doesn't encourage variations of game play at all. It just for authenticity i think. The guns bf 3 that are faction tied are balance for each other and Dice came out said that. Like the m16 in COD 4 is much better and better balanced with the ak47. But in bf 3 m16 and AK feel similar. Btw I wasn't trying to bash BF 3. I just don't like how people jump on bandwagons is all. I am all over Battlefield 3.

This news is irrelevant to me, I stopped buying COD games after COD4 which was good, but to rehash the same stuff over and over with added little gimmicks is stale and boring, I actually found my brother playing COD:MW2 and mistook it for COD:MW1...

My eyes and wallet are fixed on BF3 and everything DuckieHo has said are my reasons why, including having a better experience on BC2 than I ever did on COD4.

BC2/BF3 is real war in every sense of the word, everything else is childs play imo.
