Crysis 2 crash help please!

Thread Starter
Hi guys,

i have a very irritating problem with Crysis 2, ive been waiting to play this game for AGES and now i cant lol.

Does anyone remember how in the original Crysis you used to get "Crysis TM has stopped working" on level load? The only way to fix this was to replay the level as the savegame was corrupted?

ANYWAY - im getting "Crysis 2 TM has stopped working" on level load.... but its the first level..... i go through the beginning scene where you escape the ship and then im in the water, the game freezes, crashes to desktop. Then when i try to reload, i get the stopped working error.

I've played the first part of the game so many times now and it still happens, and there isnt any other saves i can load from because its the first level... can anyone please help?

I had the same problem... I reformatted and rebuilt in a fit of anger after trying to fix it for 3 days...

It worked then....

DBAN is brutal but efficient.

I just brought this and used the disc to install everything is working fine, have you updated to 1.9? I use Origin so it did that for me.

Takes a while getting used to i normally play console but decided to sell my PS3/360 and go PC only just getting my ass kicked all over the place o.O

Found what the problem is, its not a crysis 2 crash, its a OS/nVidia crash.

Played the game in windowed mode and i got the ol' "Your graphics driver has stopped working and recovered" that old chestnut ¬¬

So.... i went back to the previous nvidia driver, still the same problem, is there anything i can change in nvidia control panel maybe?
