Eh, 500mhz won't break the board IMO. Like I said, back when they FIRST starting making mobos I was overclocking from 1.8 (i think) to 2.8 (maybe it was 2.0->2.8) and it was fine for like 2 years of 3-8 hours a day usage.

Have you EVER overclocked before? It almost sounds to me like you haven't.....

Nope. Then again, you don't seem to know what mosfets look like. I'm not worried about not overclocking before. I'll be messing around in my own BIOS before I fly over to build these rigs, and have already played around with the needed features in my BIOS before. I understand the process quite well, and will have what I need to test stability and such when I'm there.

My concern is not based on not understanding the process, it's based on not understanding the limits one should place on OC'ing or unlocking based on board quality, which isn't something I'm well versed in.

Thanks very much for your help, it's good to know Biostar is still a great company. I haven't had one of their boards to play with in quite some time.
