Please don't put words in my mouth And OCN has enough threads in which members try to "save" people.. it's a little annoying to be honest My point from the beginning was basically who cares what people spend their money on? People are free to buy gaming headsets, Justin Beiber and Rebeca Black CD's, etc because at the end of the day it's their money!

Please stop the "", it doesn't make you sound any nicer. Who cares what people spend their money on? People do.

My big gripe with products like this is they break so easily. I have a friend who has already gone through 3 or 4 of these things in the past couple of years. I have had my HD-555's longer and they are still going strong.

there's better ways to flush $180 down the toilet, including literally flushing $180 down the toilet, that's what we're here for, to help others waste that $180 on something better

I like how you say something better when on one her has used or tested the product.

While I will say no I would not buy them, that doesn't mean that they will be bad and saying you know how a product will be before it is released or tested is just presumptuous.

Yes, literally flushing $180 down the toilet is a better idea than buying a headset...
Wait, it's not.
I'm sure that people should be informed of their options, because that is good.
But telling people that something is stupid, or moronic, or telling them that they have bad taste, or ears...AFTER they have compared and decided, is pretty much bullcrap, and the OPPOSITE of help.

Really? So I shouldn't help people spend their hard earned money best as possible ? I don't know why you post on this site, but I do so to inform people to the best of my ability.

Reputation.

Yea, lets totally forget about the past and pretend Razer has always made quality headsets that are not a gimmick and never break. You could say the same thing when another rehashed CoD title that is going to be released.

Reputation is everything.

Here's the thing. I do agree, if someone has tried two products and prefers one, it's stupid to try and change their mind. That said.. when it comes to recommending products to people who haven't tried both, it's misleading and wrong for the prior person to pass on their extremely rare scenario as "advice". What I mean to say is, when 100000 people think product A is better than B, it's wrong for 1 person to advise product B.

Reputation is important I agree, but it can't be used to determine the quality of a product that isn't even released.

Take Bioware for example, they produced hit after hit game. Then rolls along Dragon Age 2 which is bashed as a peice of crap game.

What I am trying to say is just because past experiences say they don't release the best product does not mean this product will follow suit and to say so before it is released is again presumptuous.
