Disagree with these. Get the corsair 430w v2, on 72 hr sale right now I think still for $18.

Yep. The CX500 version is in stock, though.

Buy.com also has the CX430v2 on a good deal. I agree, I'd probably choose it over the Earthwatts.

Why should he get a CX500 for $20 more than the EA-380D when he won't even stress the latter past 50-60% of its capabilities?

I'm not saying he should, just that it's available. I think the 430 is the best choice.

Why? Not because of wattage, but because paying 5 dollars more than the Antec gets you sleeved cables, which are a lot cleaner. That's worth it to me; perhaps it is not to him, but I find it reduces clutter.

I would have recommended the CX430V2 normally, but it's out of stock at Newegg and more expensive anyway. I don't really include rebates when looking at prices, and only a rebate makes the Corsair cheaper.
Tigerdirect still has the CX430 in stock apparently: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...p?EdpNo=422169 -- I don't know if there's free shipping, and it's $5 more expensive than Newegg before the rebate.
Given all that, the Antec looks to me like it would be a simpler option, but yes, that's up to the OP
