Over the years I have quickly lost interest in any game which involves playing against AI/computers. I'll play it if it has an online factor in it, i.e. lets me battle other players and lets me climb through the ranks.
Yep - that means I haven't finished all those "amazing" singleplayer games, even ones like Witcher 2 and the original Crysis. I simply played them to get a taste of the visuals, and then about halfway through something in my brain yelled at me "why are you wasting time on this when you could be ranking up in something online? You know, something that actually mattered to others?"
It's one of the reasons I've never owned a console. I only played on friend's consoles if it was a game where I could battle them, not AI.
Same reason I didn't finish Crysis 2's campaign (got sucked into multiplayer almost immediately) and probably won't finish BF3's campaign, because I'm in it for the multiplayer. Yeah, bring in the hate Edited by Tippy - 8/18/11 at 1:30am
