Opinions on the G9/G9x & a mouse pad.

I grip my mouse something like this.......

(Note that is my hand)

I've been reading tons of threads and reviews on the G9/G9x and I think it's the right mouse for me I'm just not sure and wanted to hear some last opinions before I pull the trigger. I still have to find one for sale at the price I like so if anyone's selling one lemme know.

Anyways...

I also need to find a mouse pad that is good for this mouse considering my current mouse pad is puppies. xD

Thanks in advance,
~Scott.

G9/G9x has a pretty decent sensor and should fit your grip. It has minor positive accel issues but it really isn't that bad. You NEED a hard pad for it. steelseries 4hd or 9hd is a tried and true pad for the g9x.

The reason I disliked the g9x and returned it was that there is a slight movement between the grips and the main body of the mouse especially if you pick it up a lot.

There's also a fit and form issue with some of them where the side buttons don't line up exactly and I had to disable it to prevent it from pressing itself all the time.

Would you suggest this mouse or another?
That isn't much of a problem.

$20 bucks is the average cost for a decent mouse pad. However if you feel its not for you take a look at the CM storm spawn or the zowie ec2, both claw grip mice. They would need a soft pad since they are optical though. Puretrak talent or an artisian soft pad would do.

Oh didn't realize that...
The CM spawn looks promising but it's not blue or black(has to match build)
Sounds right.
Thanks.

Seriously, has to match build? Just dye it, or buy a Death Adder/ Abyssus, you would probably like Razer.

Best tracking performance as well.

Edit: I just mean that Razer is the most stylish, also you will be perfectly happy with G9x so you shouldn't really worry about it.

Zowie EC2 is my personal recommendation for you though if your mostly just a claw grip and can stand some prediction, also it's black.

Has to be black at least.
Are any of those good for claw?

Abyssus is great for claw, better than g9x however your safer with a hard pad to ward off jitter, and it feels cheaper with less features than G9x.

No side buttons for example, the switches are on the bottom for dpi.

It is significantly lighter if that is your thing.

Mouse: Abyssus, caveat - no side buttons
Pad: Propus 380, cheap/ looks great/ is really big
