Constant system restarts... - Page 3

Ok so I'm going in for the MSI 760GM-P33 coupled with an Athlon II X3 435. To kinda up the value of the processor i'm in contemplation of unlocking the 4th core. Provided the core isn't faulty, will the motherboard be able to handle it with a wee bit of oveclocking thrown in?

I opened CMD as administrator, and ran the following command: sfc/scannow, which reported that some system files were corrupt but are now fixed. I just need to restart the system to confirm the changes...

Have you booted into safe mode yet?

If it keeps doing it, the mobo is probably damaged due to smoke. You said you had to clean, so even a tiny bit moist/waterdrop hit the right spot can damage something on the motherboard.

I even ran a few games to check the system stability but the temps still hover around 28 degrees. I'm thinking of running the system throughout the night.
