[develop-online] Newell: We have to convince EA to come back - Page 18

I hope EA never comes back to steam with BF3.

Just release it on Origin and let Steam suffer.

That is a different argument for a different result in mind. Read the thread before posting mindless bandwagon gibberish.

I wish it was on Steam and I do dislike Origin...however, I'm not waiting for EA and Steam to settle their little tiff before I play one of my most anticipated games. I went ahead and purchased a hard copy of BF3 even if I will be required to log into Origin to play it.

When Origin can start offering something besides EA orientated games, I'll be behind them 100 percent (as competition wins for everyone) - but right now it has the appearance of a proprietary EA steam rolling machine... no pun intended.

Speaking as Joe Blow from Idaho who just wants to play the game without hassle, I do hope Steam gets EA to return but with the Battlelog now set in stone, I doubt it's going to happen.

It is required, I thoroughly do hope you enjoy the game upon release though

It is ironic to see BF fans put up CoD Modern Warfare pictures to defend BF3.

BF3 ?= CoD:MW2

I think he was just making a point that boycotts fail, the boycott for MW2 was about serious missing PC content like servers and lean which PC fans have expected for years and have a significant effect on gameplay and it still failed. Most people do not care if the game will be released on steam or not, as it looks better than any PC game this year.

Steam=/= PC gaming

That's not the point I'm trying to push, but it seems people will only touch upon certain points on this subject, all of which are all very minor points to the main problem
