Thats my point though. When your entire OS fits into an app offered for free by your competition, you should be worried.

I've never touched a Win7 phone and probably never will but if ALL the features of the Win7 OS is in that launcher then that is sad but I really doubt it utilizes ALL the features of that OS, I assume it is simply the UI functionality.

EDIT: Remember, just because it looks like the OS doesn't mean it functions like it. Iphone Launcher.

You are definitely in the minority with your sentiments.

COuld it become your PC if you insert into a tablet screen and then attach a keyboard dock?

This is especially relevant due to the dual core phones coming out now, and quad core tablets.

Time will tell.
Nothing needs to change with WP7... It was a great mobile OS and is even better thanks to Mango.

Do you people even read reviews regarding devices other than your own? I highly doubt it since it disturbs what you know and love.

I think it's Nokia that needs to watch out, how's the Microsoft acquisition coming along?
http://www.bgr.com/2011/06/01/micros...nsider-claims/
1. Microsoft didn't acquire Nokia, you misquoted your link.
2. There aren't Nokia handsets out until 2012, so I'm not sure how you can make any claims about some impending doom...
3. Google wants more control over Android hardware PERIOD or else, you know, they wouldn't have acquired Motorola Mobile.

Good for you. Don't chastise others for picking Windows Phone 7 because you THINK it's inferior.

Most people don't look for the level customization that Android offers on a phone, they have a computer that does it better. Some just want a consistent, quality integrated phone ecosystem and WP7 does it as good or better than both iOS and Android.

this guy is a TROLL!

goog didn't buy moto so that they could compete with HTC, and Samsung.
They did it to protect them self's from Apple and maybe a little bit from MS, but mostly sue happy Apple.

Ahh Nokia... just mad because you know Google is about to be the new leader in mobile. Do like IE did to Mozilla, and send them a cupcake.

I think your response earlier fits best here.

IF it even has direct control of Motorola. It already said Moto will build phones like usual, while Google will still focus on Android.

Here are things Google can do to create minimal friction with OEM partners:

- Have Motorola create engineering devices purely for Android OS testing and prototyping, optimizing the platform to better integrate with all hardware configurations.

- Use Motorola phones as reference devices (a-la AMD/Nvidia GPUs) running on stock Android and current-level specs for others to meet or beat.

- Create its own phones via Motorola, only sell them at unsubsidized prices solely via online stores a-la the Nexus series.

I know they didn't buy Nokia, I wasn't sure how to word it properly.

The president of Microsoft's Business Division is now CEO of Nokia.

There are rumors flying around that Microsoft will acquire Nokia, or is in talks to.

Now that Google is acquiring Motorola, it's not far fetched that Microsoft will acquire Nokia. Considering they already have an "insider" as the CEO of Nokia.

Make more sense? I hope so, 'cuz I wouldn't want to reword that again. lol
