^vote above

I'm going back to AMD, and i need a board. I have somewhat narrowed it down the the above.

I wanna see what OCN thinks, might listen to you guys, might not, we'll see.

btw, i strongly dislike asus, so they would have to have a pretty compelling amount of votes for me to go that way....:/

Well if you don't like Asus then you wouldn't like AsRock too, because AsRock is made by Asus.
Top 4 mobo here are ASUS CHVF, Gigabyte UD7, Asus Sabertooth and ASRock Fatality 990FX. This is not in any particular order.

I would stand back from the Crosshair V actually, it seems a lot of users around here have been getting various problems from the Crosshair V. On the other hand, Sabertooth users get no problems.

That Fatality 990FX, no one on this site has tried yet I think.... aside from having the biggest VRM setup, it looks like a good overall board otherwise.

Just choose one with good phases and a heatsink on the VRMs, becase you might not know this, but there were several people with burnt mobos

I voted for something less expensive because I think the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 will do the job just fine (unless you plan on running a tri-Fire/tri-SLI setup). The UD5's PCIe layout is horrible if you just plan on running dual GPU's (either the cards are sandwiched or so far apart that you need a larger SLI bridge).
