FPS Lag spikes with Sound Stutter / Popping

Hey guys, a few days ago I purchased 4GB of Corsair Ram, a 9800GTX, and an Antec 550w PSU off of a buddy. Ever since then I've been having problems with all of my games. I put a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit after the parts were installed. So, to start off when the ram was first installed, I was getting blue screens. We ended up swapping the ram slots and the blue screens seemed to go away. And actually my games were running fine after that, until yesterday I randomly started getting sound popping and lag. Am I doing something wrong? Should I update my motherboards chipset? I already updated my sound driver (realtek).

Geforce 9800GTX
AMD Athlon 240 x2
160GB 7200RPM HDD
Antec 550w PSU
4GB Corsair DDR2
Biostar A785GE Motherboard

Any help would be appreciated!

what games is it doing that for? are you over clocked? is your gpu over clocked? how often does it happen? are the game actually bought? ect ect

What games is this happening in? do the games crash? does the computer freeze? are you overclocked? is the gpu overclocked? what settings are you playing on? and finally are the games genuinely paid for?

It seems to happen in APB the most. All of the games are paid for. The GPU is NOT overclocked.

Is your CPU a Black edition? If not most likely your ram is unstable with the overclock off it isn't at stock timings and freq. This is especially noticeable in apb because it is very very ram intensive. Tell me your timings and your freq as well as your OC. Also is it a bsod? Or a lag? Or a soft crash (game shuts out)?

Nothing on my PC is overclocked. I just want to know if my ram was faulty, wouldn't I be getting blue screened or something?

Are you using onboard sound ? If so,
-open add/remove programs(program and features/uninstall a program) and
-find and uninstall Realtek High Definition Audio Driver.
-Reboot and go into Bios. Find and disable Onboard Audio. Save settings and reboot into windows.
-Run the game and disable audio/music in game too.

See if it helps stuttering. If it does, you know it's onboard audio which uses CPU to operate.

Download the right Onboard Audio driver from :
http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/driver.php?S_ID=433
and install.

For rams, you can use Memtest86 to check. It has both windows and boot versions.

PS: In games, you can try Vsync on and Enable Triple Buffering if both are in game settings. That helps fps spikes.
